Working:

Sleep by power button
Click on Suspend
Press power button
Wake successful

Not working:

After close lid or sleep by power button & close lid
Wake from suspend by open lid
Screen lights up with blank screen

@bykeatwo - there is a problem with coming back from power save mode of the display on the exynos chromebooks - will have to look into this at some point in time, but its lower on my list ... you might check in the power manager settings if lid close is set to suspend - maybe it is not and thus lid close will just power down the display and one ends up with the blank screen as it cannot come back well from that.
