Need help with install on S905X box #2

Hello-

I am trying to get Sonaremin 1.1.6_8 running on a "magicsee N5" set top box. Specs are:

First question: which image from releases should I be using for this device?

Second question: I have actually tried both the sonaremin-amlogic_m8-armv7l.img and the sonaremin-amlogic_gx-aarch64.img (following the procedure in the readme) but can't get past the "enable multi boot mode" step.

Using local update, I navigate to the aml_update.zip/aml_autoscript.zip on the SD card and try to update, but in the case of both images/update zips I get the following result:

Installation aborted.

Any insight on what's going wrong? These type of errors crop up frequently in Google searches, but I couldn't find a solution that made sense to me in this context.

sorry, i somehow did not notice this issue when it was opened. if the problem still persists, you should try the "toothpick method" for enabling multiboot mode on amlogic tv boxes. google should help to find some info about it.
