What steps will reproduce the problem?
I can't reproduce this issue reliable, but it happens from time to time.
When someone types text into a blip, the text sometimes is not persisted.
No shinies are displayed.

I noticed that the tag with my name (i.e. where my cursor should be) showed up 
for a second at the point where my message disappeared.  I am wondering if the 
characters do not get _sent_ to the server sometimes, like Gwave's "Unsynced 
waves" issues.
