make the viewer useful in order to present chat logs #90

I want to use this script to upload chat logs. As such I would prefer no sidebar, ideally HTML that is as self-contained as possible (potentially a flag to not include avatars, attachment icons etc).

Would you be open to supporting this a use case if I provide PRs?
