8 years ago These two series of libxml++ can be installed in parallel.
Shouldn't be a problem, I assume the pkg-config test for -2.6 or whatever won't match 3.0.

libxml++ 3.0 is starting to appear in distros, and is not 2.6 compatible: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/libxmlplusplus-list/2016-February/msg00000.html - this causes a configure failure on OpenSUSE.
