Compatibility with GL.iNet devices #1

Hi,

in README.md you state that

Some GL.iNet routers (like GL-MT3000) come with firmware not based on the standard wpad. Passpoint does not work on those models.

Are you referring to those devices when running the OpenWrt-based stock firmware (which uses MediaTek's proprietary WiFi driver)? Please clarify because there is a need for action if there is a problem with supporting Passpoint in OpenWrt (as in: the trademark "OpenWrt", what you can download from openwrt.org; not 3rd-party downstream modifications of OpenWrt which fail to change their name into something else than OpenWrt).

Thanks for your comment. I've added a quick comment about GL-MT3000. I'll try more clarification later.

I've added some information about tested devices and firmware.

Arr you aware of the server-side package 'hs20' in packages feed?

hgot07 commented 8 months ago

Yes. The script hostapd.conf already had support for Passpoint AP configuration. OpenWrt 21.x and newer are working pretty well. Please see https://hgot07.hatenablog.com/entry/2022/03/21/231715 as well.

I haven't used the hs20 package.
