Many issues trying to boot the macOS Big Sur Installer on Lenovo ideapad Z510 #2

Here are my specs: Lenovo Z510 CPU: intel core i5-4200M iGPU: Intel HD 4600 GPU: Nvidia GT 740M RAM: 6.00GB Storage: 1TB HDD

Are there any BIOS Settings that need to be applied in order to boot properly, in other guides they have included advanced BIOS options such as disabling the CFG lock. My BIOS is very basic. What are the required BIOS settings in order to be able to boot macOS installer on the Lenovo ideapad Z510.

  1. I followed the instructions in https://github.com/hgxvtml/Hackintosh-Lenovo-z510/blob/main/guide.md, but when I boot the USB (Kingston Data Traveler 3.0, USB 3.0), it boots normally and when I select ‘Boot macOS Install on Install macOS Big Sur’, it shows the apple logo for 3-5 seconds then disappears with black screen and nothing happens. How can I fix this? I suspect that it is an issue with USB 3.0 on the laptop, So I’m trying to make a macOS Install with a USB 2.0 (Kingston DTSE9 64GB). If you have any other solutions or ideas to fix this please let me know. Update: I tried both a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 usb (and tried both on the USB 2.0 and 3.0 slots on the laptop) to boot the installer both FAIL in the same way.
  2. In the Readme.md, you linked an AppleALC, what do I do with it?
  3. You mentioned that Wifi works, does Bluetooth also work?
  4. Have there been any updates to fix sleep?
  5. I have the 6GB RAM version of the laptop, do you think macOS Big Sur will run well on that much RAM?
  6. Does Netflix and amazon prime video and others work on Safari? If not, what can I do to fix it?
  7. One last thing, how much storage do you recommend I give to macOS, I was thinking 60GB since I already have a 60GB partition I don’t need (Windows 11). I have a 1TB HDD, partitioned as
    | Windows 11 (60GB) | Games (570GB) | Windows 10 Ghost Spectre (180GB) | Windows 10 (120GB) | So I can erase the Windows 11 60GB and use it for macOS But probably maybe take away some space from (Games). What do you recommend?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this:)

Hey, I am sorry but I abonden this project and there will be no updates

Main bios settings for this laptop: -Sata controller mode: AHCI -Boot: UEFI

  1. You should follow instructions from hackintosh.com to create bootable pendrive.
  2. Just nothing, I forgot to delete link
  3. Yes, bluetooth also work
  4. Unfortonately no, but I know it can be fixed
  5. MacOS Big Sur will probably lag
  6. I tested Netflix and Prime video with chrome, I haven't tested safari
  7. I think that 80GB is minimal

Thank you for your reply, but I still can’t boot into the install macOS Big Sur. I have the settings you mentioned above and I erased the usb and made the installer disk many times but every time the apple logo shows for a few seconds then I get a blank screen. If I add verbose mode (-v) to the boot arg I get the following but I get a blank screen immediately after. And I don’t know what any of that means. Could you please help me get past the apple logo and into the macOS install screen? F3B68106-7076-47E3-B5B5-10A8782904FE

thank you for take the time to read this.

UPDATE: I tried to make a Catalina installer usb everything exactly the same and it opened normally with the progress bar under apple logo. Confirmed the issue is in macOS Big Sur installer. Should I try to install Catalina and just upgrade from there?

If the installer doesn't work, the update will not work either. You must try to correct my config.plist or use Catalina. I haven't use hackintosh since 3 months so I can't help you

Hello, How can I update your config.plist? what changes are necessary. So I would open Clover Configuator and then what do I look for - what do I need to change?
