The exclusion list does not work for SOCKS proxy #267

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure a proxy profile using SOCKS v4
2. Set in the "no proxy for" a certain entry. For example https://foobar.domain
3. Try to reach https://foobar.domain with the previous profile. Chrome will
use the proxy anyway.

Operating system:
Windows 7

Error Log:
[08:00:12] [info] - Extension Info: v1.6.3
[08:00:12] [info] - Browser Info: 5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US)

[09:08:10] [success] - Everything is OK

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

I used the same exclusion list with a http proxy and it works.
This confirms that the exclusion list is not wrong.

I'm running switchy to push browser traffic throuh an ssh socks proxy.
- added youtube to wildcard rules and found using iptraf (analyse network
traffic) that is was requesting through the proxy.

I had this same issue with SOCKS proxy. The reason was "Proxy Switchy!"
extension. After uninstalling Switchy and removing the .pac script they used,
SOCKS exclusion worked OK.

switchy may add invalid bypass proxy hosts. Original *.local, 169.254/16,
192.168.254/16 is changed to *.local, 169.254/16, 192.168.254/16jj/main.html

Operating system:
Mac OS X Lion.
