Would it be possible to allow us to move the grey bar around, say grey at the top, then the individual job meters, or even just the ability to increase the gap between them, or hiding it etc.

Currently adjusting order of elements is quite a pain, but I agree at least all elements should be able to align bottom-top order. I'll consider this soon...
