After a discussion with Jake, it appears that refactoring app.chain on the client may be more trouble than it is worth when considering that the global app... state object is slowly being deprecated due to our usage of Tanstack Query and Zustand. This ticket is meant as a reminder that the app.chain object exists and should either be deprecated fully or refactored (app.community) post Eth denver.
