Describe the bug

This MIGHT be possible.

Right now the raw sitemap files have 150k URLs indexed.

However, Google is only aware of 30k URLs and 15k are ignored due to duplicate content penalties.

I think if we fix:

That we might be able to 10x our SEO traffic.

Right now we have about 15k page views per months but this will be a 10x increase of content.

In theory we could 10x our SEO traffic but we might also hit our search quota if our pagerank isn't high enough.

The way Google works for crawling is that each domain has a quota and it will only index so many URLs at a given rate.

• If we implement rel=canonical we will give ourselves more crawl quota because Google won't index existing URLs.
• If we turn on sitemaps we will add 150k URLs to Google via our sitemaps (BUT probably only 120k due to dups). Some percentage of these might be indexed based on our crawl quota so not all of them may be indexed.

Pulling this into backlog for Cycle 5, however there would seem to be a major dependency here on completing the domain rebrand/move (from commonwealth.im to common.xyz.)

@burtonator If this can be feasibly executed prior to commpleting domain rebrand, how much work does that add later (to redo once we have completed domain move)?
