What to focus on as Nomad/Settler
- Set up pen, shelter, basic facilities
- Scour map and extract the most valuable resources for trading
- ruins/leftovers
- wildlife
- rare ore like silver, gold, jade, uranium, plasteel, components

Build your pens over fertile land

When starting, take time to re-assign jobs - Nomads are bad at Plants and Construction, but will still have to do those.

Use the nomad-versions of the fence, fence gate and pen marker to quickly set up temporary pens -- take some time to find the perfect border, because taking down trees to make space for the fence is not a strong suit for your nomads.
