I really appreciate that you took the time to make this patch! It ended up that two people made the same patch for me in my absence.
I've resumed development on my PS1 emulator and it now has MDEC support added, among many other improvements (full CD-XA audio, ISO and split-BIN support, memory card support, serialization support, all missing disc commands, and a lot more.) But I still have a lot of issues left to go ^-^;
If you'd like to continue contributing to ares' PS1 emulation, I'd be most happy to work with you and I promise to keep on top of any contributions you sent my way. However, I perfectly understand if you wouldn't want to after this. If you are interested, let me know how I can reach you please.
