Feature request: Add ID as flashvar #527

Currently it is not possible to detect the ID of the flashobject inside AS3. It 
would be nice if the id automatically would be passed as flashvar.

Hi Mark

A not everyone wants/needs to know the DOM id of the swf (as this is only 
useful if doing js communications etc), it is unlikely we will be looking to 
add this functionality by default. As it adds extra code to the page, the best 
way is for you to do this is to add the flashvars as needed via the normal 
mechanisms.
