What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. enter a jabber ID that contains a backslash
(DOMAIN\Username@localjabber)
2. Try to authenticate

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the backslash to be parsed correctly. Now it is converted to
DOMAIN\5cUsername@localjabber)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version, windows XP
To what server (if public like jabber.org) are you connecting?
local ejabberd server
What plugins, if any, are enabled?
