Hello @himoto !

I realized that a feature of the fitting function was lost when I resolved conflicts during last night. I believe that this PR restores the functionality. I re-executed the Notebook example to ensure that everything is fully operational.

I also created a new branch "freiburgermsu-master", where I will primarily work into the future.

Sounds nice. Please do not forget to pull the latest upstream master (master branch in himoto/hillfit) when you send a pull request, it will resolve merge conflicts.
