Considering this, but I'm not entirely sure what's better. Suppose I just wanted to
clear some space for kanji list, and now my filtering is gone?

If anyone cares, share your thoughts.

This is no defect, and it's not irritating at all. The filter entry panel is distracting
and takes up screen space. when i want to study some filtered set, i always close the
filter panel. in landscape mode it's also fugly, with entry fields for a few characters
stretching all across the screen. the user interface of wakan is generally very good,
but this is the glaring exception. migurushii.

the unfiltered set of 6000 something kanji is totally useless for study... unless you
are already an academic researher or professional translator... but then you would
use japanese software, not wakan.
