Dr. Shilnikov and I spoke briefly about this Tuesday -- he suggests trying to plot this on one of the nullcline dunes. I might need to check the eigenvectors corresponding to the emitted limit cycle to be sure that they roughly correspond to one of the dunes. However, the idea seems useful; Jack and I spoke about trying to do this and we should be able to project the flow of the system onto the chosen dune so as to make it actually be planar. This would ideally let us find the stable limit cycle above the supercritical AH curve very easily, as well as giving a way to search for the unstable limit cycle (maybe even using negative derivatives?).
