I will try to reproduce it. Have you entered/exited app during your testing?

Yes, to further comment on what @bengtan said above: I start the app (phone usually starts out very close to 88.6F), wait a minute and then have someone check to see if I appear online (my presence). If my presence appears offline to others (no blue dot by my name), my phone heats up slowly (about 2 degrees per minute)... eventually getting very hot, above 101F while idle on the HS... this usually takes about 10-15 minutes, it's like the temp creeps upwards.
Now, if I open the app, wait a minute and then have someone check and my presence shows online... I don't see the same thermal event where the phone heats up. It's very strange, it's very inconsistent as well. With me showing online... I'm seeing temps of ~89F while idle on the HS. It makes it seem like this presence issue is causing the phone to heat up if users are online, yet showing an offline presence.
Hopefully, this info is helpful in some way. @aksonov I will likely be awake late tonight, sp if you have any questions, please ping me on slack... I'm happy to discuss further or test further.

I’ve just found one more problem in our code (22-25% of CPU) after user logged, deploying new version now..

I have not been able to produce heat and drain with the new version. Verified on Staging
I suggest that Pavel should continue looking into battery usage until:
To that effect, can we delay 'Verify for Prod'-ing this ticket for at least another 24 hours or so?
Hello Team,
I would like to give an update on the thermal signature of our latest staging build (v1.54.0). I have updated my test to something that I think will give more valuable feedback to the dev team. Here are the average results over three test runs:
Possibly this is too much data, but my intention was to exercise the app in a more real-world way. Seems like we're heading in the right direction, I haven't been able to get the app hot today... and I've tried everything I can think of. I like the idea of having Pavel continue to hunt for low hanging fruit in regards to battery drain. 👍
Pushing this back to the top of the Sprint so @aksonov may continue his hunt.
Was not able to find anything more today.
Moving it to QA
@mstidham
@zavreb I believe this can be closed out.
Just a reminder to everyone:
If you see suspicious battery usage again in the future, please don't hesitate to bring it up. After this experience, I think we all agree that we'd like to know about things like this sooner rather than later.
I agree that we can both close this ticket and that we should report suspicious battery drain ASAP.
Closed, dead, and buried. May it never happen again.
