Currently not working with Mysql 8.0 #1

Thanks for forking this and patching it! Overall works great on 5.7 Mysql. When trying to run 8.0 and up it breaks the plugin. Any updates happening anytime soon? Thanks!

Hi there! I'm afraid I haven't tested this with MySql 8 yet. As soon as I need it, I'll look into issues and fixes.
