See revised code attached. Added a bar for alpha (transparency).

It's not the best but it is pretty handy.

I was incorporating changes before you submitted this code, so now we have 2 
enhancements, from you and from someone else in r2. 

So for now I think it's better to have your code modified from r2.

out in a month or so.
