Vocabularies - many of the vocabularies have description = Preferred term = Identifier. I think we have 2 options 1) write proper descriptions for all the concepts; 2) omit the description when it is equal to identifier. (we could also do a mix of these)
Thoughts?

What else do we need to cover in any introductory material?
some starting ideas (only semi-ordered):
Don't think I have anything to add, but thanks for your work on this, Aaron.
Aaron, I really like having a PDF, thanks for starting....maybe an index. The text so far reads great.
Following from the HISCOM meeting in Brisbane, my suggested changes to the PDF version of HISPID 6.0 include:
Forgive me, but where do I find the version with the intro? Above one only has a few notes.
Hopefully that link worked - if not, I'll email it through.
Great, thanks (it worked).
Ignore - just cross-referenced to other issues and see that this is #124.
For all the non-TDWG terms (e.g. lifeForm, associationType, topography...) the Identifier and Namespace links are broken. I get (e.g.) for http://hiscom.chah.org.au/hispid/terms/lifeForm:
"This site can’t be reached hiscom.chah.org.au’s server DNS address could not be found. Go to http://chah.org.au/ Search Google for hiscom chah org au hispid terms lifeForm ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED"
Is this a case of the address having changed for the hispid terms and not being updated in this document? It's the same message for all the hiscom.chah... terms.
associatedOccurrences (http://rs.tdwg.org/dwc/terms/associatedOccurrences) is included in Class: Organism on TDWG whereas we have it in Class: Occurrence in the pdf. The definition makes it sound as though it should be in Occurrences (?). In the details (http://tdwg.github.io/dwc/terms/history/index.htm#associatedOccurrences-2014-10-23) it seems as though its placement in Class: Occurrence was superseded by Class: Organism, along with notes recommending use of the vertical bar to separate taxon names. Error on TDWG? Put this under Class: Organism in our pdf?? If so, a heading is needed.
^ same situation for previousIdentifications
That is issue #120. We decided at HISCOM that we weren't going to adopt the Organism class, mostly because putting associatedOccurrences in the Organism class really narrows down the use of the term to occurrences of the Organism, which goes against the definition of the term (or so we think) and precludes the way we use the term.
Ah – missed that. Thanks Niels.

May have already been picked up, but heading on p.29 of pdf "HISPID Identification Qualifier Vocabulary" and the URI should refer to identification protocol.
