Thanks for the suggestion! But I don't wish to get into straight comparisons like that for Dit. For htop I did it because htop was created aiming to be a "top replacement". For Dit, I'm not setting the target on any particular editor. I just wanted to make something with intuiitve operation for someone who is used to entering text anywhere else (such as this Github form box, even :) )

You mention the target audience and why you started dit. You also mention vim and emacs as two editors (who admittedly have quite a steep learning curve).
Do you think it would be a useful addition to compare dit to nano?
Because from the screenshot alone, dit reminds me a bit of nano but I guess the behaviour is different between these two. For example, I do not recall nano having e. g. such scrollbars. Perhaps that could go into the FAQ - either way please do feel free to close this issue here at any moment in time. \o/
