I suppose that if a couple is known to be divorced without the exact date known, an empty divorce event can be created with an unknown date, much as we're doing for death. However, do you think it's important to mark that a couple was not/never married? I'm not sure the absence of a marriage event is enough of an indicator that a couple was never legally married.
