nicer warning for bad integers on default block lengths #54

if you forget to put in a default block length value (com, res, ind), then the 
error is: 

Failed saving study region: ERROR: invalid input syntax for type numeric: ""
  Position: 643

It would be nicer if this specified the field that was required.
