Opening the playground in IE8 and not installing chrome causes an error #79

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to 
http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/annotatedtimelin
e.html 
2. Click on Vis Playground
3. When told about Chrome, decline and continue.
4. Presented with Visualisation background but no JS source and no chart. There 
is a JavaScript error saying it can't find a chrome frame or something.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A Visualisation Playground screen with JS source and a chart

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
IE8, Windows

Please provide any additional information below.
