Yes it does appear on preview but not on the actual email when you receives it.

Gmail and most mail clients usually download the images in emails and then display them via their own servers. The fact that images are not appearing usually means that you have a firewall or plugin on your site that's blocking some IP addresses (or blocking direct linking/downloading of media).
Confirm if this is the case.
How do I find out about this?
