1 year ago You tried the one from this repo? If so, that may be part of your issue. I developed the RetroArch AppImage here, but the actual official builds are located in here: http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/x86_64/
See if those treat you any better :)

1 year ago Hi, thanks a lot for your reply. The RetroArch AppImage which didn't work due the error i mentioned at the first email, effectively, i downloaded it from that link which you shared me: http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/x86_64/
The github website directed me over there, then, that time i downloaded the 2023 non QT version; so, now i'm downloading the QT version, and i'll share to you the results as soon as i test the download. I'm attaching at this email some captures in order to help you to discover what is the current issue.

1 year ago Hi again, exactly the same issue, in fact, i've tried to run the program as standard user; and when it didn' work, i changed the konsole privileges and ran it as root, again i executed chmod a+x "AppaimageFileName"; then i executed the program as root, and still didn' work, the same error. I haven't tested yet the QT version, as soon as i could test it, i'll share with you the results.

Hi, thanks for your time, i wanted to run the AppImage from RetroArch on my AMD Athlon X4 845 3.5GHz PC with 16GiB of RAM, with an AMD Radeon RX550 with 4GiB of GDDR5 memory, running OpenMandriva 23. Like running another AppImage programs, i made RetroArch executable using konsole with the command: chmod a+x "AppImageFileName", then i made double click on it like i made in another programs, like PCSX2 which is packaged in AppImage format, and runs fine on my PC with Open Mandriva 23, about with 30-50% better performance comparing with it's Windows version. I tried to do the same with retroarch, but nothing happens; so i tried to run directly from konsole and i got this message: "./RetroArch-Linux-x86_64-Nightly.appimage: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libEGL_mesa.so.0: undefined symbol: wl_proxy_marshal_flags"
As i said, i have AppImage programs running well, as PCSX2 1.7 Nightly, or CEMU for Linux, even not AppImage files, as Redream, which is a single UNIX executable, runs perfectly with this method, but RetroArch Doesn't, so, i hope my description of the problem could help you; by the way, my OpenMandriva is running under Wayland an Vulkan desktop environment-API.
