So i kinda fixed it, this will help all boxee box clients,
1. Take a flash drive or sd card and made a folder name BoxeeApps
2. extract the folder and put folder into BoxeeApps so now its
X:/BoxeeApps/comnavi...
3.get developer xml from boxee development site (must have an account)
4.add this line to description.xml after the minversion line
"<test-app>true</test-app>" without quotes
5. plug into boxee box go to apps then favorites and it should be there

1. get xml file from applying to be a developer dev-certificate.xml
2.format a sd card or usb drive to fat32
3. create a folder called "BoxeeApps" no parentheses and must have caps
4.inside BoxeeApps extract the navi x zip so now there is a folder called
"com.navi-x.googlecode.com"
5.i wasnt sure were to put the xml file so to be safe i put it under BoxeeApps
and in the com.navi folder
6. plug into boxee, reboot and then go to App page, then go to FAVORITE APP'S
so your flash drive should look like X:\BoxeeApps\com.navi-x.googlecode.com
if this does not work please let me know

I FORGOT THE MAIN PART
under the com.navi-x.googlecode.com folder there is a file named descriptor.xml
edit it
add this "<test-app>true</test-app>" no parentheses. before </app>
so now the ending of that file will look like
<minversion>0.9.22</minversion>
<test-app>true</test-app>
</app>

Does the boxee folder need to be the only folder on the flash drive?
Does the developer certificate go in the Boxee Apps folder or separately?
Sorry...I'm a bit new at this.
Thanks!

The aforementioned site http://www.boxee.tv/developer doesn't exist. Was able
to find
http://developer.boxee.tv/Main_Page. Not sure how to sign up to be a developer
on this site. The link that says "Check it out" goes to
http://www.boxee.tv/developer which isn't working. Anyone suggestions is
appreciated on how to setup developer account.

nothing happens when I click on the icon, I get a launch icon saying version as
1.4 and when i click on launch i dont see any blue circle as you described.
once Navix is added using pendrive do we still need to have this pendrive
connected to Boxee each time we run this App?
