Hi,

A terminating resistor is already installed on your RS485 - see the resistor R14 (SMD 121 - 120 Ohm). https://image.easyeda.com/components/e3059cc0103247bdba18129c99e667e5.png

Is your external resistor really necessary?

you're right, in this case it is not necessary
