Lab results for tests related to blood transfusion? (Mail 14/10/2022) #162

Ik ben de projectcoördinator van BeQuinT (Belgian Quality in Transfusion), een initiatief van de FOD Volksgezondheid. We zijn momenteel bezig met de aanvraag voor een business analyse m.b.t. de ontiwkkeling van een nieuwe nationale database en applicatie m.b.t. antistoffen tegen rode bloedcellen en bloedplaatjes. In Nederland bestaat reeds een gelijkaarde database (zie eerste 2 bijlages): “Transfusion laboratories register the presence of irregular RBC alloantibodies for their patients and can consult the database for information that is relevant for pretransfusion testing (and compatible blood selection) but unknown in their own laboratory information system.”

Wij zijn nog op zoek naar de beste werkwijze (vermoedelijk een systeem dat vergelijkbaar is met de kluizen, gekoppeld aan het hub-metahub systeem). Ik werk ook deeltijds in het UZ Brussel en mijn collega Jos Bellen zei dat vanaf 1 januari 2023 een FHIR formaat “labo” zou gelanceerd worden. Wij vroegen ons af of wij ook dit FHIR formaat “labo” zouden kunnen gebruiken gezien het bij ons ook laboresutlaten betreft? Als laatste bijlage heb ik ook een artikel toegevoegd over FHIR m.b.t. HLA in het kader van bloedplaatjestransfusie (misschien nuttig om de context te begrijpen? Artikel dat Jos gevonden had).

There is no objection, as long as the current stakeholder are aware of the extensions and can evaluate them.

WG: the group decides that tests regarding blood transfusion can be dealt with in this profile.
