@YurritAvonds: we are going to remove the possibility to add a contained resource. The system will use Logical References for the patient, practitionerroles will be indicated with a literal reference, but contained resources will not be used.

Other contained resources may be needed besides subject and practitioner. We should not remove the possibility to contained resources on a national profile.

Since it was confirmed during "HL7 Belgium WG referral : presentation 5 FHIR profiles for digital referrals" on 13-Sep-2024 that both subject and prescriber would only be referenced in the ServiceRequest (and never contained), I would suggest to change the type of both fields from BeContainedOrLogicalReference to a Reference. This way the intended use of the field is clearer and people cannot accidentally include them as a contained resource.
