Hello matthias,
Technically, this is really possible --- as soon as FBK setup a "non-public" setting for the FBK repository.
However, on the license wise, I don't think that FBK can host TreeTagger binaries on their server, and provide it for OMQ --- open or not, this is a breach of TreeTagger license item 2), which explicitly prohibits to "give".
We have discussed a bit with the TreeTagger licenser (Helmut) to gain permission on putting TreeTagger binary on some server; but he was really against this and does not want that to happen. So I think this interpretation of strict reading of the license is a better choice.
If OMQ setup one repository of OMQ's own, and put TreeTagger binaries there --- then, it is fine. No 3rd-party involved. However, putting TreeTagger pre-built binary on FBK server and all of us (OMQ, UHEI, DFKI, etc) using that binary, is not acceptable. At least, that's how I understand this issue.
Ok, then we set up an own mechanism.
It would be nice to have a repository for the Treetagger on the FBK Server. Because of the restriction it could be restricted by an user name and a password.
