Plugin hangs & timeouts

Hi.
I'm trying to run the plugin but it does not return anything at all.
If I run the plugin manually, this is the result:

root@UBILUSNAGPRD01:/usr/lib/nagios/plugins# 
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_as400 -d -H 10.190.65.50 -v LOGIN
Establishing connection to server...done.
Logging in...
  waiting for screen...
    waiting for token IBM CORP...
    token received.
  sending login information for CAB3...
  waiting for login to process...
    waiting for token ===>...

And it just sits there until I kill it with CTRL+C
Any idea what might be wrong?

I just came across this issue with one of my systems. It turned out that 
Pentasafe was restricting ANONYMOUS telnet from the network that my nagios 
server was on.

it would be possible to implement a timeout... but i think that would not be an 
efficient way to go
