Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
 1.click on tools
2.click on download present in operations
 3.start download

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

All the area covered as given in download options in hight(in Km) and width(in
Km) and the given zoom levels should have been downloaded for offline use.
but after download is complete ,By zooming in to the zoom level as given for
downloading it was found that most of the tiles were missing in the assigned
area of downloaded map.
The same problem occurs even if we zoom in by keeping the given center of map
on screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using version is 0.8.05, with windows 7 32 bit

Please provide any additional information below.

So you are a developer...

I hope you know that this is an Open Source project, you can run it directly
from the sources and debug this strange behavior.

All I can tell you is that it works for me (but I'm not downloading whole
world).
My recommendation test GMapCatcher with smaller areas (city wide)
... keep in mind downloading entire world will be very wasteful as most of the
world is covered by water

And also will most likely result to banning of GMapCatcher from the servers :(
