In the paper, they phrase the measure as saliency vs as opposed to salience. Additionally the phrasing of "how prevalent the word is in the topic" might be a bit vague. In other words what does prevalence mean in this context. Might be worth adding a sentence like "In other words, a word with high saliency means..."
I'm iffy on my description of salience. Would love a check on that. Especially because I'm not using exactly what Chuang et al described.
