Within the Jury space there is Electoral Roll process that mainly deals with managing and shortlisting of Jurors every year based on the data received from various Local Authorities. Currently, the Jury team (Janet Healey, Andy Bisby-Singleton et al.) carry out this process with help of CGI. There is lot of manual painstaking work involved right from the point when files land on BAIS as they arrive from different local authorities via Electoral Roll Upload portal (https://erupload.justice.gov.uk/) through the data cleansing and selection of Jurors towards the end. CGI carry out this process with certain VMs hosted in Vodafone Swindon. As part of VDC exit, we are in the process of decommissioning those servers and remediating the process to be automated end to end and hosted within HMCTS Azure alongside the Jury services which already sits within Azure Shared Digital Subscription.
As mentioned above the ER upload portal is used by ~350 Local Authorities to upload their data once every year (starts at December normally). Once the files are uploaded, they land on BAIS and the user credentials are stored within the BAIS/Globalscape database. However, the url of the portal https://erupload.justice.gov.uk/ does not meet the HMCTS standards. All of the applications bear the convention of .apps.hmcts.net for e.g. Jury is https://juror.apps.hmcts.net/. As part of ER modernisation work, we are looking to amend the ER upload URL to meet the standards so it has hmcts.net just like other apps hosted in Azure.
The project requires help from PlatOps in this regard for amending the URL
All config for_ erupload.justice.gov.uk (on the same frontdoor instance) has been copied to _new domain (e.g. same WAF configs, same back end servers / routing profiles etc)
Deletion of old instances will be handled under separate ticket

Intended Outcome
New URL (juror-er.apps.hmcts.net) in place on the hmcts-heritage-prod front door instance (and NLE equivalent juror-er-test.apps.hmcts.net on hmcts-heritage-stg).
DNS in place for new URL
WAF rules in place for new URL
All config for_ erupload.justice.gov.uk (on the same frontdoor instance) has been copied to _new domain (e.g. same WAF configs, same back end servers / routing profiles etc)
Deletion of old instances will be handled under separate ticket
