Nothing happens... #15

Installed the plugin per the instructions, and the button shows up on my share toolbar in snagit. However, when I click the Imgur button, nothing happens. No errors, nothing. Any ideas?

Hi!

I'm sorry for the late reply, things have been pretty crazy lately. Could you please try running it as an administrator? Unfortunately, since it's not an "official" TechSmith plugin, it has to be manually registered in the registry via the regasm.exe command, and it needs to be elevated to execute correctly... The batch file does that.

I'll release a new version soon with a proper installer, there will be no need to do this anymore...

Sorry, no luck when running as an administrator. The plugin actually shows up on the sharing menu from SnagIt but it just doesn't do anything when I click it.

Hmm... very odd. What Snagit version are you using? I might have fumbled something up :(

I am using Snagit 11.2.0 Build 102 on Windows 7 64 bit. I tried to uninstall Snagit completely, re-installed, and ran the register.bat for your plugin as administrator. Same results - Imgur icon shows up in the Snagit Share menu, but clicking on it does nothing.

It's been broken for me ever since I upgraded to SnagIt 11. Worked fine with SnagIt 10, though.

@hmemcpy, are there any logs we can send to help debug? If so, where are they? Thanks!

@hmemcpy Same for me on SnagIt 11.2.1, and Win 8 Pro x64, the icon shows in the editor, but nothing at all happens when it's clicked.

p.s. Great nickname, used to be my favorite Softice breakpoint. ;)

There's the error I get when trying to use the button, in the latest SnagIt 11.4.0 build 176.

Sorry for the delays, guys. I've been incredibly busy! But I know how useful this is, I use it myself every day! I promise, I will push an update ASAP! Stay tuned!

I think imgur finally killed the old API. I have a version that supports the new API, will upload an installer soon. Too bad I can't create a "proper" *.snagacc Accessory.

Hi!

I'm sorry it took a long while, but I was finally able to publish the updated version with an installer! Please download it here: https://github.com/hmemcpy/SnagitImgur/releases/download/1.0/SnagitImgur_1.0.0.msi

You should close Snagit (and Snagit Editor), install this, and start Snagit again. You should have Imgur in the Share tab!

Please let me know if you have any issues with it!
