Fix spelling and subscript spacing in various chapters. #160

Here are the corrections I hinted at in the description of #159—these spelling and spacing issues are already existent in the original text, but should hopefully be uncontroversial to fix. 🙂

These are great, keep 'em coming! :) I think I added the spacing because it looked weird in the math notation to me, compared to the monospaced font in the original. But I think that's a good correction.
