UK VAT Number lookup API - Update On Production Release and Information On Throttling #879

Hi dev team,

I found in here, that "On 1st December 2020 the Check a UK VAT Number API would be released into the live Production environment" however at here, it is still stated as "beta". Could you kindly give an if this is in production already?

Could you also give an update if this API has any throttling implemented?

Hi @isham-iqbal,

The team which looks after the VAT (MTD) API is not the team which looks after the Check a UK VAT number API. Since they do not have a Support section in their documentation, I recommend emailing SDSTeam@hmrc.gov.uk with any support queries you have.

With regards to throttling, the API Platform implements standard throttling across all APIs available on the Developer Hub.
