db: remove dash character in table views for null values #437

Currently, in table views, a null value in a field is displayed with the "—" dash character. (see http://lincs.hms.harvard.edu/db/proteins/). Instead, display these values as blank (no printing character).

@liz-williams, @dwrobel1 - please confirm?
