Is there any kind of documentation available regarding (custom song) sources? For example, a listing of all possibilities like

I thought it would've been very self-explanatory and I could figure it out manually, but the official song sources seem to overrule anything I put in a songs.dta. Some of my songs ended up in the correct official sources, but others did not, ranging from RBN songs ending up in Custom Songs and "Pearl Jam: Rock Band" apparently being a thing.

this should be all available custom song sources, taken straight from _ark/ui/locale the shortname of each line (the text not in quotes) is the thing that you will need to use in the songs.dta game_origin to have a song show up in that location You can also add your own by opening a PR and duplicating one of these entries (remember to change the shortname)

To add on to this, I do need to set aside and make more documentation for this.

Official DLC is upgraded via rb3dx to new game_origins, you can find these source upgrades in /songs/missing_songs_data.dta. This is how existing dlc is sorted.

You can use any of the existing sources as listed in the above comment, or add new sources via the locale file.

A big note is to pay special attention to the version line of your customs. If using a custom source, a rb2/rbn1 custom must have the version number below 30. A rb3/rbn2 custom must have the version set as 30. You can find this value in your customs songs.dta file. If this value is set improperly, no venue lighting or camera cuts will appear in game.
