Route 10.x networks properly through VPN #7

McDonald's WiFi uses 10.255.254.1 as DNS server, android local default routing goes via VPN, but ping doesn't get through gateway. VPN gateway is pingable.

More proper solution would be to set DNS server instead of using public WiFi's.

duh, the DNS server is local to the public Wi-Fi; once I'm in my VPN, I've already tunneled past the Wi-Fi network. If still want to use ISP's DNS, need to fetch it and set static route.
