[BUG] Transfer scout is not working

Describe the bug Transfer scout is not working. Last version i have that it is working is HO-7.1.492.1-portable-win-BETA-JRE. Next versions no matter which of the 2 ways we have to import a player data in the transfer scout i try it is doing nothing. Actually it imports a player which is always goalkeeper with no name . Always the same player (which is not existent) . I also tried with a fresh install with no db data. The problem persists. Please advice. Thank you for your time reading this.

I believe it has to do with how i upgrade the program. What is the optimum way to upgrade the portable JRE versions. Case 1: I download the latest portable JRE .zip version. I extratct it to a directory and then i move all the files to overwrite my previous installation. Case 2: I download the latest portable JRE .zip version. I extratct it to a directory and then i copy the db + logs folder in the newly extracted version.

What is the optimum way? I was doing Case 2 and by doing Case 1 it seems that everything is working fine again.

@theobserver as long as there are no changes in HO prerequisites as java run time or installer option1 is sufficiant. the more secure way is option 2. db folders and the users.json file must be copied to the new installation directory.

Hi again, I have tried many things but there is no way to make it work. I wonder if other users have the same problem. I could give you my credentials to check , maybe you could locate what is the problem. Thank you for our time reading this. Regards, Nik.

I managed to narrow down the bug. It seems that transfer scout is working ok when i insert a player . The problem arise when i try to insert the data of a player i own. The reason i am doing this , is to compare in transfer scout an existing player of my team with the ones i would like to buy to replace him.

Does this error happen to you too, when you try to import in the transfer scout a player you already own?

@theobserver although i don't think that it has anything to do with the database, you could upload a backup of your database files to this thread. Than i could try to debug this.

Thank you for trying to help. I really appreciate it. I attach a .zip of the db but if it is a lot of burdain please do not spent your time with it. In any case i enter manually the player.

i just added one player from transfer list to your transfer scout list:

curiously it worked although my hattrick language (german) differs from your HO language (english).

you tried to import a player you already own? The problem is when i try to import a player already in my team as i wrote above.
