How to install the .dtx file?

When I use: 

latex hologo.dtx

It returns:

! LaTeX Error: File 'hologo.sty' not found.

sorry this is a bug report address not a help forum.

but the package is part of texlive and miktex you should never need to install it by hand from the dtx file.

First, sorry to bother, but sometimes miktex throw run time error due to mirror server connection problem, thus a workaround installation method is used.

Second, thanks for the link. But i found the solution of installing the .dtx file is not in the link, but on your .dtx file. The solution is to install via latex \let\install=y\input{hologo.dtx} not latex hologo.dtx nor run hologo.dtx using pdflatex.
