N64 - reset and power cycle freeze emulator when Link is moving in Majora's Mask #129

What steps will reproduce the problem?
When reset or power are pressed and any direction on the analog stick is 
pressed while in Majora's Mask (so Link is moving) bizhawk will freeze to the 
point where it can only be killed with the task manager.

With reset it will also happen randomly. Power is reliable when nothing else is 
pressed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Bizhawk resetting the game and not freezing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I can not reproduce this behavior.

Are you doing analog via the virtualpad? Is the dialog open if not?  When you 
say power, you mean the power button on virtual pad? The menu item?  The 
controller button?

I tried as many of these kinds of combinations as I could but it consistently 
works.  Also, use the interim version I linked in another issue, maybe it has 
been fixed since release?

The behaviour with the interim version you linked is much simpler. Power always 
works, no matter what is pressed and no matter where it's triggered from (menu 
or virtual pad) and soft reset always hangs, no matter what is pressed and 
where it's triggered form.

Bizhawk does create two 4kb big .bin files and then hangs itself.

Issue still exists in 1.5.3.
It doesn't happen in Ocarina of Time, just in Majoras Mask. Maybe that helps to 
narrow it down?

Also worth noting is that it works on the intro screen of MM, just not ingame.

What I just noticed is that reset hanging only seems to happen while using 
frame advance. I never tried without frame advance, sorry.
Also it doesn't just happen to me, another user has the same problem.
