The .Net client library has not been updated since February 2009. #373

1. The Google Data api .Net library located at 
'http://code.google.com/p/google-gdata/downloads/list' is way out of date and 
needs to include all the latest functionality.

2. Rebuild the Setup project to include the latest source, dll's, samples and 
documentation.

3. As a work around I have used SVN to download the latest trunk giving me 
access to everything I need.

Jasedorell, is there another place to download more up to date libraries?

I have been working with the .Net code downloaded from the link you mentioned, 
and 
have been *stunned* by the bugs and inconsistancies in that API library 
version.  

I was just about to abandon using the Google Apps and API when I saw your post. 
 If 
I can get something newer and cleaner, I would like to try this again.

Hi Bryan

You can retrieve the latest version of the Api library from 
http://code.google.com/p/google-gdata/source/browse/?r=911

If you download TortoiseSVN you will be able to download the entire trunk. The 
latest 
dll's are located in trunk\clients\cs\lib\Release.

Got the DLLs down and installed, thanks.

Unfortunately, did not resolve the odd behavior that I am experiencing with the 
API.

Sure you can email me on jasedorell@gmail.com. I don't have much experience 
with the 
.Net library, but I've worked with the REST interface to the api for Picasa Web 
albums, 
Google Docs and Google Analytics.

It does not need to include that. As you mention, you can always get the latest 
code
by going to subversion and download and build it yourself. 

Maintaining setups is a huge hazzle. I do it once very blue moon, when i have 
time to
do so. Lately i don't have a lot of time, so i don't. I plan to release a new 
setup
in the next months, but no given datetime yet.
