1. I am trying to install openmeetings on a windows 2003 server which has
a running tomcat installtion on port 8081. (8080 used by proxy server)
2. i have installed red5 under webapps of tomcat using the war file and it
is now /root under webapps (i have used the same name of the war). so red5
is working at http://localhost:8081/
3. i have installed openlaszlo under webapps using the war file.
openlaszlo-4.3.0 is now running at http://localhost:8081/openlaszlo-4.3.0
4. openoffice is running as a service on port 8100
5. i have mysql installed and running on port 3306 with utf8. created
database openmeetings.
5. i have not yet installed swftools or ghostscript
6. i downloaded the latest version of openmeetings (red5-0.8RC..) from the
site and moved ONLY THE FOLDER OPENMEETINGS TO tomcat webapps.
so /ROOT, /OPENMEETINGS & /OPENLASZLO-4.3.0 are at the same level under
webapps
7. while trying to install, i am getting error message "The requested
resource () is not available." from tomcat
8. did i make mistake in copying only the openmeetings folder and not
other folders?? anything else i missed?

there is no mention of installing tomcat anywhere. So if you do not need to
build
from Source you don't need that.

hi,
i am using the bundled red5, couldnt make it work on red5 7ver.

you can hardly use a existing tomcat for red5 as they do some kind of
modifications
to tomcat. Its more a topic of red5 then openmeetings to do that.
Red5 0.7.xx will also not work. You have to try latest.

the bundled openmeeting code, has a old red 5 version the cam and audio is not
great
compared to the red5 7 final builtin demo cam application. so i wanted to
install
red5 7ver and publish the openmeeting app, but i had no luck.. :-(

the bundled openmeetings has the almost very latest red5. You can try your self
from
http://build.xuggle.com/job/red5_jdk6_stable/

the bundled red5 in the package must be between build no79 and 119. But the Code
should also work with the very latest build.
