Version comparison issue #157

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have version 4.2.9.1 of Cyanogen installed.
2. In Settings, choose to show only new roms.
3. Run the update checker

Expected output:
Shows version 4.2.11.1 as available.

Actual output:
Shows that there is no new version.

What Version of CM-Updater are you running??
I'm using CM Updater v 4.5.1

My guess is that it is doing the string comparison and thinking that .9.1 >
.11.1.

Within the CM Updater App

Press Menu
Configuration
Rom Update Settings
Check Display All Rom Updates

Now it shows most current version, on 4.2.9.1 it showed no updates until those
previous steps.

Scariola's instructions describe the workaround that I used to get around this
bug
successfully.
