can't find any update or any other previous version of cyanogenmod rom

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When I hit update, I expect to see a list of previous roms and
experimentals.  However, I don't see any rom period. I have also tried to
use the bar code scan option.  It can find the address just fine, but I
don't get the pull down menu where i can select which one to download and
install.

What ROM are you running?(including Version)
Cyanogenmod 5.0.6-N1

What Version of CM-Updater are you running??(When using an Experimental
one, please Provide the SVN Release Number)

Install and reinstalled several times, no change.  Themes seems to work ok.
 But can't seen to find Rom

try it again. There was an error in the n1 metadata file with not escaped 
quotation 
marks

Actually what i did was to manually download the 5.0.7 update and copy it into 
the
cmupdates/updates folder on the microsd card.  Then I used the CM updater to 
apply
the patch and now everything is okay.

Not sure if this is the same problem or not.  I'm running CM 5.0.7-DS & CM 
updater 5.0.1.  The only ROMs it 
finds are 4.2.x.  (I have experimental and existing options both set to true.)  
I've uninstalled & reinstalled multiple 
times, but always the same result.

you will only see the roms, that are currently in the manifest file
